It is a fantastic place, if you look at it with curious eyes. You breathe tranquility, you are filled with nostalgia for the past and perhaps also for those you lost. The pantheon is of great historical wealth. I discovered this incredible funeral school, led by the narrative talent of Mr. Rogelio Vázquez (Drackincolmillo Official on Facebook). I suggest you look for him on his social networks, if you want an interesting tour, rich in historical and cultural data. If you visit Durango, I highly recommend that you visit this valuable cemetery.

I love going during the day, but… I've lived in Durango for so many years and I'd never been on the night tour, and I was fascinated. Usually, when you think of a "night tour," you imagine scary people, ghosts, witches, and all sorts of other things. When the reality is different, it's a tour of a funerary art museum. The guide (whom I follow on social media and consume his content) shows you the true meaning of "I love my job." He speaks with great knowledge and fascination for everything he's showing you. I truly learned a lot. I was amazed to learn about these things from a different perspective. You definitely have to go!

Pieces of great architectural, historical and sentimental value. The level of detail and the work of the master stonemasons in these works is impressive. You cannot miss the relief of “La pieta” by Benigno Montoya and the mausoleum inspired by the ancient mausoleum of Helicarnassus as well as other chapels with unique styles.
