Fantastic stay in this historic building that at one time was a maternity hospital! The rooms are a good size, with large windows. The highlights for me were the lobby, with lots on antiques spread throughout. There was lots to look at, the clocks were numerous and quite varied. Location was fantastic, as the hotel is located in the historic center of the old city. Lots of restaurants close by, and the museums are short walks away. You are a few blocks form the cathedral too! Highly recommend a stay here, staff are fabulous, all wanting to make your stay memorable.

I arrived in Durango for a night stay and came with a heavy load of trauma. My dog had been attacked by another dog the night prior. I was so grateful they allowed dogs here and when I arrived I shared with Hector what happened. He immediately called around looking for a vet and found one that could come to my room and see her. This exceeded my expectations and felt so held and safe here. I also ordered dinner and it was delicious. Absolutely recommend this space. Has your basic needs, no fridge but everything else is great.

Nice location walking distance to el mercado, corredor constitución, plaza de armas, Teleferico Durango and several churches. The staff is really nice and kind and willing to help with anything u need. I really recommended 100% to all. Come Visit Durango it has really nice things and places to see and learn from. ALSO IT'S PET FRIENDLY!!

This is an excellent boutique type hotel. I booked by phone, and the person on the other side spoke Spanish and English. The price I paid was such a good value, and I'm glad they offer that value. Pro's: It's very walkable. If you like walking, all the tourist features are within a few blocks of the hotel. Clean. The room I was assigned was well attended to, and the bathroom was is good condition. Staff. The staff were excellent. Con: The windows allow the loudest street noises in. So, at night some passing vehicles do make a lot of noise. Some cars and motorcycles in Mexico run loud exhaust. Something endemic to Durango is that there are some people who have their radios up full volume, and you'll hear it no matter where you are. However, after about 11pm, the street noise deadens considerably, and the areas is actually quite peaceful. Sunday morning, the scenery was picturesque with the rising sun casting a glow on the avenue.

We stayed here (family of five / three adults and two school age kids) for four nights in two separate rooms (#2 and #4). Service staff were very friendly and accommodating - helpful in giving instructions and recommendations on dining options and greeted us each morning with a smile. We used the lobby area quite a few times to relax and read and yes - get a better connection to the WiFi. Our kids also had a lovely time hanging out with Patrick and giving him belly rubs. This is a hotel in a historic building so yes it can be noisy and furniture and furnishings have a rustic and worn look to them but its part of the charm. Overall, our family had a wonderful stay at Posada San Agustín.
