At midnight, two women were let in after knocking on the room door. When they reported to reception, the response was, "Well, just don't let them in." I paid for a long stay, but after that, I no longer felt safe.

It's a horrible hotel. I got bedbug bites because of them, there was no hot water and we had to shower with cold water, the internet is terrible, a staff member entered our room 14 and cleaned it without our permission—what if he stole something? It's a horrible place to spend a few days or a week. You could hear what the neighbors and people downstairs were saying, the blankets were stained, it was disgusting, the beds were hard, the 5-star reviews or zero complaints are from multiple accounts. If I visit Durango again, I hope I don't stay at that hotel, which has no hygiene whatsoever and doesn't care about the safety of its guests.

Exactly today, my husband was waiting for me at this Hotel El Gallo. I arrived at 2:00 AM from another state, and he was waiting for me. They never opened the door for either of us, neither for me to enter nor for him to leave. The hotel security guard never came out. Besides, I have my 3-month-old baby with me, and it's very cold out here. I've been here since 2:00 AM, and there's been no response. It's terrible service.

Apparently it looks clean but I was eaten by bedbugs, it doesn't have air conditioning, the fan they rent is more the noise it makes than the air it blows, a lot of noise from the vehicles passing by since it is right in the center of the city, we only stayed there because it was the only place we found a room but the truth is I would have been better off staying in my car 😓
